There is less than one month until the first day of the summer meals program, but it is not too late to sign up to serve meals. Summer meals fill an important nutrition gap in the months when students ages 18 and under do not have access to school breakfast and lunch.
How to Serve Summer Meals
Nutritional Development Services works with a variety of locations in eligible areas, such as summer camps, churches, and day care centers, as well as individuals who would like to serve the children in their neighborhood.
If you or your organization would like to serve meals at no cost to the children in your community, call us at 215-895-3470, option 1 to discuss eligibility.
How to Find Summer Meals
The Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger is running a summer meals hotline and texting service to help those in search of summer meals. You can call 1-855-252-MEAL or text “FOOD” or “COMIDA” to 877877 to find your nearest summer meals location.
